I'm baaack! *cue scary music*

I need a vacation from my vacation. Long plane rides really suck. I lost 3 hours coming home. Maybe I should have flown home by way of Hawaii and Europe, then I would have been ahead of myself.

CA wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. This was the first time in my life (believe it or not) that I ever traveled anywhere alone. I do not like new things and I was really nervous, especially about the airports. I figured I could handle the con itself, as I was pretty much alone last year. And the sightseeing wouldn’t be too bad, as it’s just like going shopping. So, I’m pretty happy with myself for not spazzing out.
Traveling to Oklahoma in July for my niece’s wedding is gonna be a breeze.

Traffic wasn’t a demolition derby, either. But, I love to drive and have clocked many miles. I just had to be a little more aggressive in changing lanes. Oh, the first time a motorcycle zipped by lanesplitting made me jump! I had forgotten that that was allowed out there. Too dangerous for me. I wish I would have had a couple more days out there, I would have rented a m/c and ridden up the coast a bit. Ah well, next time.

The only bad thing that happened was losing my debit card. What a jerk. I wasn’t paying attention and must have dropped it on the street. But, I didn’t panic and just called the bank to cancel. I should have a new one in the mail any day now.

It was exciting to meet some of my LJ friends. Way different from last year, where I only met one person in passing.
I had to take little notes to remember who I met.  If I forget to friend you, do me first.
...I mean, friend me first.
It was kind of cool to realize that other people had actually heard of mnytryder. (Note to self – must comment more.)
Everyone was so nice and pleasant, and my roomies were as sweet as a lambo’s fender.

I took a whack of pics, and I am working on getting them organized before I post.

OMG. I checked my mail last night and saw 437 messages. The Internet wasn’t working properly in the room until Sunday night. Of course, I was busy packing and didn’t have time to go through much. I’m going to have to just zip through most of them quickly, I just don’t have time to read them all.

Now for something completely different.

Just to post a pic - I did a good deed yesterday. Saved a snapper from getting smushed on the road. You might remember the poor guy I was too late to save last year.  I couldn't find the post.  I guess I'll have to fix some of my tags.
Anywho -
I saved this guy from certain death yesterday morning on my way to work.  He was off to the left of the double-yellows.  I pulled over and used my snowbrush to flip him onto his back and push him over to the side of the road. And what did I receive for this good deed? Piss all over my snowbrush. Stupid turtle. I guess I scared him, but it was for his own good.
He had some cotton fluffy in his mouth which I prudently let stay there.  He was on the small side, shell only around 10 inches across.  Just a baby!  Hissed up a storm, though.

And, just because I didn’t spend enough money this past week, I just bought DOTM TC and the Starscream and Mirage Kre-o sets from Hasbrotoyshop.com.
Man, I wish they just sold the itty bitty tiny figures alone in a set. Sooo cuuute.
And they must be getting complaints about people buying them out, I could only get 1 TC per order.

Sweeter than a lambo's fender is the nicest compliment I've ever gotten. You were amazing, hon. Thanks so much for finding us the room and getting the cake and wine and just being all around awesome.

I want those minifigs so much it hurts. Have no money. Trying to keep myself from just pre-purchasing every set to get them. I could always resell the big figures so I can have my little minifig harem army.

My pleasure.
You guys were cool.
Hasbro has them available for pre-order.
I checked in my Walmart and they didn't have them yet, although I heard some places have them on shelves already.

Cute, nasty-tempered turtle! They'd bite your finger off in a second!

Alas, minis come with the set. :(
It's gonna be expensive to collect them all.
Those will be cool earrings. Heavy, I bet, but cool.
