Who doesn't love garage sales?

What a productive day today turned out to be!
Our road clean up was cancelled because it was raining in the morning, so I decided to go to the fairgrounds for "The World's Biggest Garage Sale".
I was annoyed because they charged $3 to get in, which wasn't mentioned in the radio spot. >:(
But, I was there so I paid my $$.
Guys -
it was HUGE!
The only thing I can think to compare it to was the sales room at BotCon last year. Picture that room and vendors and quadruple it. Lots and lots of crap.
I spent almost 3 hours looking around, mostly for pottery and Tformer stuff.
Found a ROTF Barricade for 50 cents. No accessories, but who cares.
Bought my M-I-Law some homemade soap for mother's day, and also found some special cooking oil for my F-I-Law for father's day next month.
A Bee keychain and 2 of the recent McDonald Starscream's (one still in the package) cost me $1 for all three.
And the piece de resistance - Tformer thermos for $1.
Slightly faded, a little scratched, but cool.

It was lying on top of a box full of kitchen implements. I picked it up, looked at the lady and asked how much. She says, 'A dollar - it's collectible.'
In my head I go 'well, duh'.
Out of my mouth comes, 'OK.'

So, I guess it was worth $3 to get in.

My feet hurt so bad....

OMG! I'm sorry but the only thing running through my head is staring at the photo of Meg. My eye went right to his -ah... "trigger" and my brain quit functioning as it took a swan dive into the gutter. XD

But other than that! Awesome for 3 bucks! ^_^

hahaha -
yeah, they certainly gave him a huge penis trigger. I think all those writers/artists were closet perverts and they expressed themselves in a children's show.

That's pretty awesome that you were able to find that thermos in that good of a condition. :3

I'm waiting for the day I find TF stuff at a yard sale. Too many boring, white-bread people around here! On Memorial Day, a local town is holding a townwide yard sale. I'm tempted to go look for eBay stuff.

I love the line, "$1, it's collectible." LOL

Oh sweet Jesus, it's Trigger-Crotch Megatron with his swirly chestplate. I can't even look at him too long, he creeps me out. He's drawn like that in a couple of my TF kids' books. If I had known it, I wouldn't have bought them. To eBay they are going!

You're probably better off finding stuff at the thrift store. I think word has gotten out how 'collectible' TF stuff is. And more than a dollar's worth!
Her loss was my gain.

And it's not just Megs - most of the bots in the movies have 'thingys'. Ironhide's massive mechhood comes to mind.
You've heard the phrase - the bigger the 'stash, the bigger the package?
hahahahaha! ;)

Or - maybe I'm just a pervert.

Maybe I'm an Optimus.....I still hold out hope I will find a yard sale run by an ignoramus! LOL

I'm still haunted by Megs' trigger crotch. I can't handle it. LITERALLY.

Not to sound pushy or too intent, but I'm selling some of my TF merch, including old kids' books and a holographic backpack from the 80s. If you would be interested in those things, I'll give you first crack. If you know anyone who'd be interested, spread the word. THANKS!

Oh, what's the backpack look like and how big is it?
And what kind of kid's books? can you post pics and how much you are looking to get?
I may be interested.
Thanks for letting me know first.

I just put up a journal post with everything I'm liquidating. It's a public post, so feel free to circulate the address to any TF fans you may know who'd be interested. Offers welcome for one piece or all. Resellers welcome! :-D
