Today would have been our 18th wedding anniversary.
If I must say, it was one of the best kick-ass weddings I have ever been to.
Emery Park, on a Wednesday.
It poured the night before, and made us worry.
I remember picking flowers from the field in the early morning.
My bro-in-law did the video. Someday I must have it transferred to DVD.
Our colors were orange and black - Harley colors.
My first limo ride.
I was late, and made him worry.
It was the first time my family found out I bought a motorcycle. Boy, was my sister pissed! She still holds it over me to this day. That bike pictured was the first Heartbreaker. We sold her for a house downpayment.
Our song was Metallica's 'Nothing Else Matters'. It was sooo long to dance to.
We both left the reception on our motorcycles.
His boss wouldn't let him off work, so I went with him in the 18-wheeler on his regular run to Laredo, Texas.
Somewhere in Texas, I drove a big truck 80 miles per hour. It was cool. What a rush.
Talked on the CB to other truckers.
The hotel owners where he usually stayed had decorated the room for us. It was so sweet.
Walked over into Mexico, but didn't drink the water.
Saw someone swimming across the Rio Grande.
Came home.
Best honeymoon ever.
Usually the day passes by without me remembering, but for some reason I thought of Rick this morning.
Made me melancholy.
But, it is nice to recall the fun and happy stuff.
...but tomorrow is another day.
