Fair Pics

Went with my bud to the Erie County Fair on Thursday.
We both got out of work a little early and arrived about 4pm.
Very appropriate, as it was Channel 4 day, with $4 parking and $4 admission.
Entering Gate 5 (our usual gate - maybe we should have parted at Gate 4) we checked out the tractor exhibit.
This one was pink!  It says 'Psycho' on the side.  Pretty appropriate, I think.

This just sounded so naughty I had to take a pic.

We love The Creative Arts Building, which also houses the flower shows.
I didn't enter anything this year - time just got away from me.
These gladioli were so beautiful.  The pic doesn't do it justice.

Zinnea in a very bright pink.

This dahlia was HUGE!
That's Kathy's hand for comparison.

This is supposed to be a pointsetta plant.  Not to be confused with the Christmas pointsetta plant.  I don't know, that's what the attendant said.   I guess it is some new variety.  Looked really cool.

Yum, you can find all kind of food here.
No, we did't have Buffalo meat, I went elsewhere and had a domestic cow meat pita.
And curly fries.

A table of bling, being sold in the Agri-Building.

And the highlight of our evening -
The Village People!

We sat in the grandstand for about half the show, as we were tired from walking around.
But, then I wanted to go stand in front of the stage.  Kath said OK and down we went.

It was a free concert - they sang for a little over an hour.
We danced a bit and had a great time and were quite impressed with the group.
Campy, but good.  Voices were in tune, and they danced for each song.
Not bad for a bunch of guys who are at least 50 years old.  I couldn't do it, that's for sure.

In the Navy.

Ending bow.

And we learned the proper way to hold your arms for YMCA.
No monkey man hands on the head for "M".  Your hands should be in front of your neck, elbows up.
And the "C" opens to your left, so people looking at you can read it.

It was very happy music, and made us feel good.
Now I gotta go buy one of their CD's from ebay.  All my Village People music is on record albums!  You know, vinyl.  Those black pizzas.  I don't even have a record player any more.  Too bad, as I have about 500 albums upstairs.  Sigh.  Maybe I should go buy one of those players that hook to your computer.  I have a lot of good stuff up there.

That's all.  Time for bed.  I've been on my feet all afternoon helping another motorcycle club at their BBQ.  Will post pics on the WOW community tomorrow.  I'm behind about 4 days of pics for that site.
Plus, I have to do that icon meme thing.
Yawn.  Goodnight.

Not a poinsettia, it's a type of Amaranthus- tricolor. I used to grow them. They get very tall.

Such beautiful specimens! :-)

Cool-I just looked them up. Very pretty flowers, I have never seen them before. Maybe next year I'll get some.

I would be so greatful if you could. It would need to be in mp3 format, for some reason, mp4 doesn't work on my computer. And I don't even know what that format is, actually. derp.
