So, how much of my tax dollars are going to go to Haiti now?
Not that I’m an evil person or anything (well, maybe a bit evil), but I don’t believe in forced charity.
This is what one of the radio personalities had to say, “It’s not the job of government to take your money and give it to someone else. Irrespective if it is Warsaw Poland or Haiti.”
Here, here, keep our taxes working at home. I want my tax dollars to stop animal abuse. Why do we always have to be the guy on the white horse? I am pretty sick of cleaning up the world’s troubles. Let someone else do it for a change. We can’t even take care of our own problems.
I’ll stop now before I start to rant – I have to get to work.

I guess humanitarian aid is worthwhile in that it's kind of indicative of the world we want to live in, "to use our powers for good". And it's good for the rest of the world to see positive US news for once!
My soapbox anyway, but I supose I'm taking from our own natural disaster not more than a year ago. We got a lot of US firefighter help and that was appreciated!
