Home from the Hospital

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts to me and my mom. I really appreciate it.
Well, ma is back home and feeling much better.
It's the rest of us that feel like crap.

They discharged her Friday evening, and we drove home through lake effect white-outs, in the dark. Took us almost an hour and a half to get home. I drove because I was the freshest, and that was the some of the worst driving weather that I can recall. There is a hill close to home, and there were 8 big trucks lined up on the side of the road because they couldn't make it up the hill. I wonder how long they had to sit there.
But, I slept over on the recliner because the road wasn't even plowed and Barb was afraid I'd go off the road [even though I have been driving on that road for over 35 years and can practically do it blindfolded]. Sometimes it's easier to just go along to get along, ya know.
Slept like crap, every time someone coughed I'd wake up, and the recliner isn't as comfy as it looks. It's gonna take me a week to catch up on my sleep.

Again, thank goodness for my neighbors. I couldn't get into my driveway Sat. night because of the high snow pushed by the plow. I parked on the side of the road and was shoveling just to get the pile down to about a foot so I could 4-wheel it through and up the drive. It was around 8pm, and this plow truck drove up. My neighbor Larry said his wife went by and saw me shoveling. She told him the lady was out there shoveling, so get over there and plow her driveway. Yays! He opened out the end and did a swath up the drive. I gave him $40 for his help.

Anyway, this year started out so well [she says sarcastically].
Let's hope it doesn't continue this way.

Here - enjoy this cool clock I found.

I know someone who is a licensed CME from Boston. She has been assisting patients for many years and needs a job. Tell the brother-in-law to hire someone for your Ma! She, or someone like her, would cheer your Ma up. Let me know if you'd like to meet her. She loves what she does.

Then, tell your boss(es) that you want to take a vacation in the sunny South!
See YA soon! 😀

Well, that will never happen.
1 - Barb doesn't want strangers in the house.
2 - the house is too small for another person. There are barely enough chairs for the 4 of us, plus the dogs and birdcage.
3 - we do most of our office work there, and we work with a lot of private medical records. My usual desk is the dining room table.
4 - no one wants to be near that screaming bird.

I would love a vacation, but it looks like all I'm getting again this year is my weekend in Toronto to mix with other TFormer nerds. I take what I can get.
