Loser of the Month Award

I’m still here – I just can’t get my act together to post stuff.

But, today was a good excuse.

Today I went to work in my nightshirt and didn’t realize it until I got out of the truck in Ma’s driveway. My boobs felt too free and I then realized I wasn’t wearing a bra OR a regular shirt. *derp* How could I be so stupid?
I’m sure you are thinking either, ‘Impossible, how could she not know what she’s wearing,’ or ‘What an asshat.’

Well, here’s how I had my moment of old person’s disease.
Tuesday is garbage day. I woke up a bit late, at 7:50am, and rushed to get the garbage out because the truck keeps changing arrival time.
I tucked my nightshirt into a pair of jeans and put on a hoodie to go outside. When I came back inside, I kept the hoodie on because it was chilly in the house, and did my usual stuff in between playing on my computer.
Nine o’clock rolls around quick. I sign off, grab my purse and shove the dog up the ramp into the truck and off I go, without getting fully dressed.
I guess my mind just wasn’t fully awake yet.
Barb & Larry thought it was pretty funny. Larry said something about it being sad that the office attire had degenerated to nighttime wear.
It was amusing.
I got dressed when I went home for lunch.
I better get my act together before October when my sister has eye surgery. My life will be HELL.
I’m sure I will bitch and cry to you then.

Anywho –
I got new blinds and traded my small chair for Barb’s small couch.
Here’s a pic of both, with Bluestreak as an accent pillow.

I don’t like the blinds as much as my old ones, but I am stuck with them for approximately the next ten years. They cost almost $600, so I better learn to like them. It’s so hard to tell colors with those little samples. Ah, well.
The couch I love. Nice and squoochy. And I swear, there has been one cat or another lying on the couch since I got it in the house on Sunday. I think I was able to sit on it twice.

Oh, you see the pile of brown paper on the side of the couch?  I got some stuff from Amazon and I left the packing paper on the floor when I went back to work.  Well, the cats LOVED it!  Cheapest toy I've ever gotten them.  It is getting a little ragged from all the action, but I keep puffing it up.  I should be getting more stuff soon, so I will switch it out for the fresh stuff.  See, I don't care if there's crap on the floor.  I just walk right over the stuff.

Hmm, let's see.
Lightning strike update -
Total damage replacement was only about $600, and I had a $500 deductable.  So it wasn't worth filing a home owner's claim.
My brother gave me the TV from his motor home to replace mine.  And he gave me some money so I could get a new air conditioner, as mine was unfix-able.  What a nice brother.
Three sockets in the garage don't work anymore, but the rest came back online when we messed with the fuse box in the garage.
I discovered that my stereo was plugged into one of those outlets with the test/reset, and once I reset, it worked again.  I didn't know that at first, as the stereo is under the island and I had to crawl under the shelf to see what was up.
It took the phone company a week and a half to come check my phone line.  But, something was wrong, the repair man had to fix something in the basement and outside on the pole.  My actual telephones are fine.
I think that's it.  Maybe next year my bro can change the garage outlets when he comes back to visit.

While the family was visiting, my nephew took me to see Guardians of the Galaxy and TMNT.
It was nice to see a movie with someone for a change.
I never really got into the TMNT fandom, but I must say, I am now a turtle fan.  Both movies are worth buying.

I also went to see TF4 again last Friday.  It was kind of a last minute decision, but there wasn't anything good on TV and I wanted to give my wrist a rest from computer clicking and playing.  I'm glad I went, as it cleared up some of my questions.  I noticed different things from the first showing.  The action was still so quick in some spots, so I can't wait to get the DVD and use my slow-mo button.

Went to the Corn Festival, went to the Erie Co. Fair.  I think I have some pics I wanted to post.  But, that will have to wait.
We have an examinee to see in Rochester tomorrow, so I plan on playing on my computer while Barb & Larry are working.

Oh - there's no cat on the sofa!  I better grab it, quick!

[Crossposted from DW. Apparently, I like to spread my boring Spam all over the Internet. And, I paid for both sites, so I should use them like a mad monkey. Comment at either place, I'm easy.]

OH my gosh my cats love the Amazon paper, too!

And man I totally see how that 'show up to work in the nightie' could happen!!

Sometimes cats can be really weird. But, we loves 'em.

haha - I'm still amazed at my derp-ness.
I think it could be disastrous for your career if you slipped up - even on a casual Friday.

By the way, have you changed your Yahoo! mail password recently (or do you even have access to that account anymore)? I keep getting random spam mails from your addy over there.

That sucks about the lightning strike!! O_O

Bluestreak makes a great accent :)

Hi - nice to see you!

I changed all my major passwords in early August when I read LJ had some problems.
I'd hate to have to change them again.
Was the last spam recent?

Yeah, it was shocking. *ba-dump-bump*

Blue is like a cement block - not as soft and cuddly as he looks.

O hai! Sorry it took this long to get back to you. The spam was sent last month, not sure when. Will let you know if I get another one!

I bet he'd make a great doorstop... ;)
