Wasting my time with the Doodlebops

Probably the only person who will be interested in this particular post will be lionille, my fellow DB stalker.

Holy slag, I wasted my entire evening trying to figure out how to rip a clip from a DVD. Seriously, I didn't do anything else.
Downloaded a program, it said free but it may be a trial version. We'll see. I like it, seems pretty simple - it only took me 5 tries to get one of my fav songs ripped from my DB DVD -

[L - if you have this episode, What When Why, watch the scene before this with Jazzmine, as DD flips over the back of the couch when Rooney is asking his questions.  Quite amusing, I tell 'ya. ]

Next project will be Rooney's ukulele song and get on the bus.

I still need to tell you about my adventures on Saturday, when I went by myself to see the Doodlebops live. I had to go to the early, 12:30pm show, because I watch mom while my sister goes to church in the afternoon. Wow, tons of kids all over the place.
Didn't need my earplugs, the screaming was tolerable except for one part in the show where Moe encouraged the audience to 'YELL REAL LOUD!' They did - especially the little girl behind me on the left who almost blew out my eardrums with her shrill screams.
One of my HRBlock co-workers asked me if I would feel uncomfortable going to the show without any kids, and did I think anyone would wonder if I was a pervert. No, and not until you mentioned it. The balcony usher did ask me if I was all alone, and I laughed and said I had a soft spot for the Doodlebops.
Anyway, I did enjoy myself, even though the actors weren't the originals. They were only onstage for 20 minutes. Hmm, $20 ticket, $1 per minute entertainment value. Alright, I can accept that.
Thankfully, the DB's hit the stage first, and I left right at the end of their show. I had no interest in seeing Strawberry Shortcake.

I would go again if they came back to town.  It made me happy.  Is that pathetic, or what?

I don't think it's pathetic at all. If something makes you happy, go for it. I have a box of Thomas the Tank Engine trains in my livingroom that I bought more for me (they're small and cute!) than any of the kids I hang out with.

I'm so glad you went to that show and had a nice afternoon! Plus it is always fun to have something to look forward to ahead of an event.

I just rewatched WWW, and lol, I hadn't noticed her falling over the couch to express her impatience at the delay. hahaha! So cute. It's funny how there are so often little things going on in the background like that.

It's such an adorable show, I keep trying to get people to watch it and give it a chance, just for the cheer factor. It is a day-brightener for sure.

(p.s. thank you for telling me about them in the first place!)
