Thank you, Mew! And blah, blah stuff

I must give a big wet one to [personal profile] mewsing for the most awesomely awesome scarf she sent me for motorcycle riding. Nice and soft and warm.
When I ride, I always have a bandana around my neck, because I don't like the wind on my neck. I shall now use this -

It is perfect - not too long so I can tuck it inside my jacket with no bunching.

Oh, and the chocolate? All gone. I oinked it all up already. It was orgasmic.

So, now that tax season is almost in full swing, I have even less time to catch up on stuff than before. I am working Tues and Thurs evenings, plus all day Saturday. That is less hours than last year, because my sister needs me to watch mom on Sundays so she can go shop. Plus, I also worked Wed evenings last year, but I just can't do it - I am too tired. I wonder how the lessor hours will affect my paycheck. Hopefully, not too much - I only have about 70 clients, and I think I can get them all done when I am scheduled. I need that money to pay for my Iacon package!
Yes, I am officially not going to Botcon this year. It was just too soon. I am very bummed about not going, especially since I finally met some people last year. but, from what I understand, quite a few of you won't be able to make it, either. So -
I am now saving my change for Botcon 2013. Here's hoping it is in the northeast! I won't hold my breath - my luck it'll be in CA again. >:(
Although, I wouldn't mind doing more sightseeing in CA. Ooh, Vegas. I've never been there.

I do think I am going on a little 5 day vacation in July. The Women on Wheels National Ride-In is being held in Greenville, SC. Some of our group is going, and my buddy Betty and I were considering driving down. No way I can ride my bike that far. Sportsters suck over long distances, and I am just too old to put up with aches and pains from riding over 12-17 hours on a small bike.
It always takes longer to get to a destination on a motorcycle - at least for women. General road rules followed are to stop and rest every 100 miles or every hour and a half. My butt can't take any more than that, anyway. Like I said, Sportsters are very uncomfortable, even though I have a custom seat.
It's going to take the girls 2 days to bike to SC, whereas if we rent a car, we can do it in about 13 hours, or one day. And, we are considering trailering our bikes down. that depends on if I can find a rental with a trailer hitch. I really don't want to take my truck and put that mileage on him, although I suppose it would be much easier. Hmm, a bike in the bed, and my trailer can hold 3 bikes. Well, we shall have to do some thinking and planning.

I'm going to try to meet up with the biker babes tonight for movie night. I really want to see the new Sherlock. As long as my sister can get home in time, I should be able to get to the theater by 6:30. I don't know if anyone else is going to see it with me or not. Betty already went last week, and she hated it. But, she doesn't like those action movies. She likes movies with a plot! haha.
Speaking of movies, I was looking at the list of Oscar best pic nominations, and I haven't seen any of them. And, I have no desire to see them. Not my style. Looking through the nominated actors/actresses, I haven't seen any of their movies either. I finally recognize movies that I have seen once I get to the animated feature film category. I saw Kung Fu panda, Rango, and Puss in boots, 3 of the 5 nominated.
Further down the list, I have seen TFormers, nominated in soundmixing and visual effects, and The Muppets in Original song. That's it.
And this usually happens every year. I rarely have seen any of the nominated best pic movies.

Does that mean I have lousy taste in movies?
No, it means I am weird have particular tastes!
[Crossposted from DW. Apparently, I like to spread my boring Spam all over the Internet. And, I paid for both sites, so I should use them like a mad monkey.]

It's some kind of metal crystals, don't remember which kind, but probably something to do with computers and/or nanotech. I thought they looked like winter trees. :D
