Describe your perfect pizza.

I don't like pizza.

*ducks the stones*
I don't like anything with tomato sauce. Although, I am starting to appreciate a little bit of ketchup on my burgers.
I'm free, white and over 21 - I can eat whatever I want.

Do you dislike raw tomatoes or just the sauce? What about salsa? /curious

I love tomatoes off the vine, especially when they are still warm from the sun!
Yum!
No sauce or salsa. Yuck. And I don't like more than a smidgen of the 'white' sauces, either.
Buttered noodles are my thing.

aww! I like spaghetti with or without sauce, but not a lot of sauce. And I don't like white sauce at all.

But mmmm vine-fresh tomatoes, so much love! Question: have you ever had homemade salsa made from homegrown tomatoes?

No, I have never tried salsa. It looks nasty.
Plus, I have a feeling it has more than 3 ingredients and is spicy.

And don't say "How can you know if you like it or not if you haven't tried it?"
I just know.

Oh I understand that. There are some things I will NEVER try.

The reason I asked, though, is that I was making a distinction between homemade salsa - which is basically chopped up home grown tomatoes with onions, cilantro, and hot pepper (which you could lessen or leave out if you wanted) mixed in - and store-bought salsa. There's a huge difference! To eacher her own, though =3

Have you tried white pizzas? (White pizzas are pizzas made without tomato sauce.) And my university's pizza parlor made one with pesto instead of tomato sauce as well.

I'm also curious about tomatoes vs tomato sauce. I myself don't like raw tomatoes (unless they're chopped on certain items of mexican food), but I like tomato sauce. And for the record, I count salsa as a "cooked" tomato application (cooked from the acidity!).

I don't even know what pesto is.
I think I tried something that they called a white pizza once. It had chicken strips and ranch dressing on it.
I don't like very much cheese, either.

Usually, I don't care for spicy stuff - I have a very bland palate. I don't even like pepper. Sauces and stuff are too...too...I guess, tasty.

Pesto is a basil-based sauce. Basil, olive oil, usually pine nuts. Sometimes parmesean. I've never had it myself.

Ah. I'm the opposite. I can't stand bland or subtly-flavored food. I need big flavors!

Ah, that pesto sounds like too many flavors for me!
My late husband used to joke that I wouldn't eat anything that had more than 3 ingredients. He wasn't too far off the mark!

I've lived in NY (the state, not the city) all my life and have had NYC pizza, known people from NYC, etc etc...And have NEVER heard such a thing.

I have heard of real NY pizzas, but I have no idea what they are.
Around here (western NY), pizzas have sauce, cheese and whatever nasty toppings people want.
Even anchovies. *shiver* *puke*
