Ferrari vs. Lambo

Got the new issue of 'Road & Track' magazine in the mail today.
On the cover, Ferrari vs. Lambo!

Excitement, speed, desire, raw power and sex appeal are what I think of when I see exotic cars. And money. Can’t forget money. The starting price for both these cars is around $230,000.

Look at that seat.

The testers wimped out in their decision of which vehicle was a decisive winner. One was singled out as a better road machine, while the other excelled on the track.

“At the end of the day…how do we decide which exotic reigns supreme? [Maybe, pick one?] The Italia technology is wrapped in a beautifully sculpted body….With the Superleggera, one look at the car…it is impossible to mistake the car’s intended purpose. The Ferrari is graceful, and the Lamborghini is bold. So the final decision really comes down to personal preference. The all-around exotic crown would go to the Ferrari 458 Italia. The no-nonsense, singularly track-focused crown would go to the Lamborghini Superleggera. For any car enthusiast, having either one of these exotic overachievers in the garage will do.”

Yeah, I wish.
Here’s the article if you want to read and drool.

Man, what a dream job.

And y'all know which one I would pick, right?  Two guesses - and the first one doesn't count.

I love the 458 Italia with a passion, but my Mediterranean friends have assured me that only douchebags would drive it. :(

Hmm, I wonder why they would say that, since both cars are very similar. Maybe just personal preference, like I say Chevys are suckage and Dodge rules.

If someone gave either one to me as a gift, I certainly wouldn't complain!

I wouldn't know what to do with a sportscar. I drive the speed limit and I can't drive stick! LOL

What!? I am appalled that you don't know how to use a stick.
They are quite fun to drive, and knowing how the gears worked helped when learning to ride a motorcycle.
I've had manual vehicles all my life, and the only reason my current truck is automatic is because my knees are bad.
I read a few years ago that if your car has a manual transmission, it has a lessor chance of getting stolen because many car thieves today don't know how to drive them!

edit-oh, I drive the speed limit...now. heehee.

I really don't feel the want to learn stick. I like relaxing when I drive. Having to pay attention to my speed and shift would seriously harsh my peaceful drive! LOL
